Situated at approximately 730 m above sea level, it is surrounded by areas of wild and natural beauty: rainforest, eucalyptus forests and heath land and on the high ridges - ancient Antarctic Beech forests. To the east the retreat is dominated by Mt Barney (1350m), and to the south and west the rolling peaks and ridges of the Focal Peak volcano caldera. We want to help you experience and comprehend the richness and subtlety of an authentic World Heritage wilderness. We have developed an authentic and basic bush retreat: camp fires, camping out under the stars, bush walks.facilities which are simple, functional and sustainable to complement this ancient landscape.
