Southport Yacht Club is known worldwide for its exceptional sailing and power boat activities.

The Hollywell Sailing Squadron is home base for dinghies, off-the-beach catamarans, trailable yachts, Etchells and the Sailing School, including a Waterfront Café and Bar to unwind after a day of sailing or simply to relax in a social atmosphere.
The sailing academy is responsible for a range of programs including learn to sail programs for children and adults, sailing camps for children, junior and youth training and high performance racing programs, stand up paddle boarding and wind surfing. While our junior and youth program has produced a wealth of talented sailors who perform well at national and international regattas, a great strength of the Southport Yacht Club program is that it offers a range of different opportunities to all levels of sailors.

A recent addition to sailing at SYC is Corporate Sailing, a fresh alternative to Corporate Days! Whether you are rewarding staff or entertaining clients, our Corporate Sailing Day is a novel approach to your team building, networking or conference event! The unique Olympic sport of Sailing will leave a lasting impression on your participants as they sail and race our fleet of one-design Sports Boats on the beautiful and protected waterways of the Gold Coasts’ Broadwater. People of any age or ability can participate in the sailing, and your guests have the option to do as little or as much as they like! Each yacht comes with a certified, experienced instructor on board to guide and assist each team through the activity, ensuring everyone has an exciting time! We are more than happy to tailor a day to suit any requirements or budgets, and can organize industry regattas and sail days.
