Sommerville Valley Tourist Park was established on a private property, 12 km from Stanthorpe in a beautiful and quiet area on Storm King Dam. Spacious powered sites, bushy unpowered sites are available . Storm King Dam offers great swimming, fishing, boating and canoeing. Sommerville Valley is close to wineries, berry farms and national parks. Facilities include: modern camp kitchens, amenities blocks with hot showers and laundry, under cover barbecue areas, community room and wireless internet (fees apply). Ice, basic groceries, fish bait are sold. Canoes and push bikes are for hire. Well behaved pets are welcome; campfires allowed (weather permitting). Firewood is sold by the bag.

While the Granite Belt is a wine destination surrounded by stunning national parks . The area is not limited to wine - there is also the Granite Belt Brewery & Sutton's Cider. There is a wide variety of seasonal fruit & vegetables - fresh & gourmet delights. As the region boast a large number of cafes, produce shops - cheese, chocolate & preserves etc. Why not play golf, bowls or croquet, get lost in the Maze or catch the Law Dog Australia Show. Take a day to browse the local Museum or art galleries. After all this just sit back and watch the wildlife on the dam from your site or cabin in the park.
