The award winning South Lakes Golf Club is situated at Goolwa on the Fleurieu Peninsula. Goolwa is a seaside resort where the River Murray meets the Southern Ocean. While its members own the Club, visitors are always welcome to enjoy all of the facilities. The friendly and relaxed atmosphere of the Club blends in well with its surrounds.

Sited in the middle of the Goolwa township, the Club is readily accessible to motels, caravan parks, holiday rental homes and the Marine Cove Resort.

The golf course comprises 18 holes of Santa Anna Couch fairways and Poa Annua/Bent Grass greens. The design of the course provides golfers of all ages, with differing skill levels, the opportunity to enjoy a round of golf without the use of motorised transport. The relatively flat terrain makes the course a pleasant walk while listening to the waves crashing on the beach in the background. The course is not long but still provides a challenge to the low handicappers as accuracy is the priority, particularly approach shots to the greens.
