28 gates is located on historic 'Bloomfield', a 6th generation, 5000 acre family property known for its sweeping pastures, rolling hills and trout-rich lakes dating back to 1862.
The distinctive building, which was originally stables and grain lofts, then shearers quarters has been delicately transformed into premium accommodation.
There are three bedrooms, two which lead out onto the deck with stunning views of the undulating landscape.
It is self contained or we can organise a chef for either a 5 course dugustation menu or pre-prepared meals.
We have about 10 000 sheep and about 120 cattle and also have 500 acres of ground under irrigation.
We have 4 Lakes stocked with Rainbow and Brown Trout for fishing and we can provide a professional fly fishing guide for you, if you wish. We have over 60 species of birdlife including 7 of the 12 endemic birds of Tasmania. We have 5 well marked walking tracks for you to explore and a farm tour of the property with the owners.
28 gates has it all, you can either come and fish and walk or you can sit back and relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings in complete peace and tranquilty.
