Jones Winery and Vineyard was established in 1860 and stands testament to a rich wine making tradition. Since 1927, the winery has been owned and operated by the Jones family. Entire blocks of old vine have been preserved making the winery one of only a few in Australia to produce wine from vines planted more than 100 years ago. In the last few years malbec, marsanne, fiano, pedro ximenies and durif vines have been planted along with further plantings of shiraz, grenache and Rutherglen brown muscat.

Today, Jones Winery and Vineyard is jointly operated by winemaker Mandy Jones, who brings 14 years of experience working in the Bordeaux region in France, and her brother Arthur Jones. Together they produce a small range of boutique wines. These carefully crafted wines include sparkling shiraz, marsanne, fiano, malbec and the highly acclaimed 'L.J.', made from old vine shiraz, as well as fortifieds such as our unique 'Apero' and our 'Classic Rutherglen Muscat'.

Jones Winery & Vineyard cellar door offers visitors 'real and genuine' experiences in wine and service. The charming heritage listed sales area, built from handmade bricks with its original bark-lined roof, is the perfect place to enjoy our handcrafted wines and French-style cuisine from our café.
