The east coast and Moray Firth are expected to be the main focus of the slow-moving rain band. Rainfall totals of 20-30mm are expected across the region, but localized areas could see heavier bursts accumulating up to 50-75mm, with up to 90mm possible in the Grampians and Northwest Highlands. Residents in flood-prone areas should prepare a flood plan and emergency kit, while motorists should check road conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly. It is advisable to be prepared for power cuts by gathering essential items such as torches, batteries, and a mobile phone power pack.
