In Effect Till:

Current Status:
Warning No Longer In Effect

Continued heavy rain likely to lead to flooding and transportation delays.

Persistent rain is expected to become more scattered on Thursday, although heavy, slow-moving bursts may still occur in parts of southern and central Scotland. An additional 10-20 mm, and in some areas up to 30-40 mm, of rain is anticipated in regions that have already received between 20 mm and locally 60 mm. To prepare for potential flooding, assess whether your property is at risk and develop a flood plan and emergency kit. Stay informed about road conditions, public transport schedules, and weather warnings, and make necessary adjustments to your travel plans. To be ready for power outages, gather essential items like torches, batteries, and a mobile phone power pack. Be aware that weather warnings may change rapidly, so stay updated on the forecast for your area.
