In Effect Till:
June 18th, 9:00 pm
Current Status:
Warning No Longer In Effect

Rainfall and thunderstorms could cause travel disruptions.

Expect showers to develop later on Tuesday morning, becoming heavy with thunderstorms in the afternoon and early evening. Some of these storms may be slow-moving, bringing lightning, hail, and heavy rain, with isolated areas receiving 20-30 mm of rain in one hour. To avoid delays, check road conditions, bus and train schedules, and adjust travel plans if needed. Be aware of the risk of flash flooding in your area and consider preparing a flood plan and emergency kit. Prepare for power outages by gathering essential items like torches, batteries, and a mobile phone power pack. When outside during a thunderstorm, seek shelter in a safe enclosed area, avoiding trees and elevated structures. Stay updated on weather warnings as they may change rapidly. The Met Office recommends staying informed about the weather forecast in your region.
