Rain is forecasted to move into northern Scotland from late Tuesday into Wednesday, with the potential for heavy showers and localized burst of up to 90mm in certain areas such as the Grampians and Northwest Highlands. It is advised to check the risk of flooding for your property and to have a flood plan and emergency kit prepared. To avoid delays, check road conditions and public transport schedules, and be prepared for possible power cuts by gathering essential items such as torches, batteries, and a mobile phone power pack.
