Did you see the moon halo last night? A rare phenomena caused by tiny ice crystals in cirrus clouds, 20,000 feet or more above our heads, causes an apparent halo around the moon when viewed from the ground.<\/p>\n

Tonight, 3 February 2015, conditions are expected to be just right once again to view the spectacular sight, if of course, there are no rain or snow clouds at a lower level, obscuring the view.<\/p>\n

Last night we were lucky enough to get a perfect view of the halo and managed to get two great photos.<\/p>\n

Many other people around the UK reported seeing the halo and many took to social networks such as Twitter and Facebook to post photos, many of which are quite spectacular.<\/p>\n
