Later in the evening, more heavy rain, with potential thunderstorms in the south, is expected to move from the south. There may be intense downpours, resulting in 20 to 30 mm of rain in less than an hour and possibly 30-50 mm over 2 to 3 hours, which could lead to surface water flooding.

To prepare for the possibility of flash flooding, create a flood plan and assemble an emergency flood kit. Stay informed about road conditions, bus and train schedules, and adjust your travel arrangements accordingly to minimize delays.

It is advisable to be ready for power outages by stocking up on items such as torches, batteries, a mobile phone power pack, and other essential supplies. If you are outdoors during a thunderstorm, seek shelter in a safe enclosed area, like a car, and avoid standing near trees or other structures that could attract lightning strikes. If you are in an elevated area, move to lower ground.

Keep in mind that weather warnings can change rapidly.
