At Chauffour we have two spacious and comfortable self catering cottages that are set in a large fully enclosed garden and both have access to our 12mx6m heated swimming pool which is fully fenced and gated and has a safety ledge for younger swimmers.

We are set off a quiet lane about 3kms from Allemans and the village of St. Severin which is just over the border into the Charente and 10kms from Riberac which is famous for it's large Friday market.

Both cottages are great for families or a couple of families wanting to holiday together or for couples wanting to explore the area. There are lovely walking and cycling routes direct from the doorstep - we have bikes that you can borrow and can point you in the right direction of good routes with some nice restaurants where you can stop en route.

Nearby are lovely safe river beaches and lakes where you can find cafes, toilets, play areas and also some lovely walks through the woods - there are numerous other activities including canoeing, go ape style tree walking, waterslides and kayaking nearby. The beautiful cities of Angouleme and Perigueux are about 3/4 hour away and are well worth a visit as is the picturesque town of Brantome - the venice of the Perigord with it's pretty streets and river and also Aubeterre where you can sit in the pretty square and watch time go by or visit the underground Church dating from around the 13th century.
