Built in the late 1800s the former hunting lodge has been converted into one of the most comfortable hostels anywhere in Europe. It has 85 beds in 17 en suite rooms - both private and dormitory.
The Connemara Hostel has some fantastic facilities including a residents' lounge, free WiFi, TV room, self-catering kitchen, outdoor terrace, tennis court, camping and access to a range of organised outdoor adventure pursuits nearby. The hostel also has a library with travel books, books of Irish interest and lots of DVDs.
