This was highlighted when Mount Juliet hosted top golf players such as Tiger Woods, Ernie Els, Sergio Garcia and Pádraig Harrington for the WGC American Express Golf Championship in September of 2002 and again in 2004. Mount Juliet has also hosted 3 Irish Opens and is a wonderful destination for a play and stay vacation. A spa, equestrian centre, swimming pool, gym, and hotel are also on site.
