Verdelais is a boutique Lodge, B&B & Wedding Venue. Glenys Ferguson is the Proprietor and is also a Registered Marriage Celebrant.
Located 1hour & 15 minutes from Auckland airport and 3 hours from the Bay of Islands. Verdelais is surrounded by verandas facing views of the sea and distant suburbs of Stanmore Bay, Orewa, and the islands. It is on a beachfront reserve, just 2 minutes walk through the gardens to the beach. There are 4 beaches, shops, restaurants and public transport, all within walking distance from Verdelais. There are many attractions including an international golf course, 3 other golf courses as well as an international marina and ferry to Auckland city. Other attractions include, Shakespear Regional Park, Tiri Tiri Matangi Bird Sanctuary & Ski Planet, the largest indoor ski field in the Southern hemisphere and Waiwera hot pools.
Verdelais, caters not only for weddings, but engagements, birthdays, anniversaries and business functions including small conferences.
Food at Verdelais is a gourmet's delight. Glenys and husband David are excellent cooks with specialties of the house in French and Mediterranean dishes. Seasonable, organic fruit and vegetables supplied from their award winning gardens.
All rooms have their own bathrooms and views from the Coral and Aquarius Rooms are spectacular. They share a small balcony to enjoy the view, while enjoying a nice hot cup of tea or cool glass of wine from David's well stocked bar.
The Verdelais Suite, is the bridal suite and located outside with it's own private entrance. It has a King bed, full bathroom with spa bath, patio and small lounge.
All rooms are well appointed and Verdelais is Qualmark licenced. Glenys and David welcome you to share their lovely piece of paradise with them!
