Thirty campsites are available for bookings, however unless you have a boat your options for getting there are to hike in via the Tarawera Trail, a 15km walk through native bush or you can arrange for the Lake Tarawera Water Taxi to transfer you out to Hot Water Beach and return later to pick you up.
