The Retreat is right on the doorstep of Mt Cook World Heritage National Park, and under the Aoraki Mackenzie International Dark Sky Reserve, the southern hemisphere's only Dark Sky Reserve and one of the best places in the world to star gaze from. With fresh local produce and wine, prepare to be pampered.
We offer two types of accommodation:
Ashley Mackenzie Villa and Private Spa
Nestled on the clifftop overlooking the spectacular blue waters of Lake Pukaki towards Aoraki Mt Cook, the Ashley Mackenzie Retreat is set in one of the world's most picturesque locations. Inspiring, secluded and romantic, the 2 bedroom Villa is chic and luxurious. Enjoy your own private spa including hot tub, sauna and workout room. Breakfast and happy hour provisions are included.
Pukaki Homestead B&B
Enjoy exclusive use of the Homestead's guest wing which has two superbly decorated bedrooms, a library, a large bathroom and 2 courtyards. You are invited to join us for complimentary refreshments, including local wines and canapes, from 6-7pm each day.
