We are located in the small village of Glenorchy at the head of Lake Wakatipu, just 40 mins from Queenstown and the location of many well known movie sets. Lord of the rings and the hobbit, as well as Jane Campions Top of the Lake.
We are also just 20 minutes drive from Mt Aspiring National park and many walking tracks, from an easy grade to something more challenging. The Routeburn Track is the most well known with Rees/Dart and Caples/Greenstone becoming equally popular.
Bring your groceries from Queenstown as the town is very small and no longer has a general store, but with a small kitchen in each Motel unit you'll be able to cook all your meals or you could dine at either of the two restaurants located just around the corner, about a minutes walk away.
