Sportsmans Lodge is just minutes from the Tongariro River Walk and only a 40 minute drive to New Zealand's largest skifields, Whakapapa and Turoa. There is an easy 5 minutes walk in to Turangi village to pick up supplies or a short walk across the road to one of Turangi's favourite restaurants.
