Our character lodges and cabins have excellent facilities with all the comforts of home. Each place enjoys it’s own privacy being surrounded by sub tropical palms and forest. Wake to the dawn chorus of native birds, and at night drift off to the relaxing sound of the New Zealand bush and ocean. We have dorm rooms, twin and double rooms, en-suite rooms and private cottages. We are happy to rent whole lodges for small groups. There really is something for everyone.

Home made bread and muffins baked daily for sale. We have a small shop in Ruru Lodge as there are no supermarkets, gas stations or banks in Punakaiki. The nearest towns for these services are Greymouth 35mins or Westport 45mins drive from Punakaiki.
