For visiting Cambridge, the Longstanton park and ride is just five minutes drive away with buses every 10 minutes into the centre of Cambride on the new Guided Busway. We are close to St. Ives and it is an easy drive to Ely or Huntingdon. Access to the village is easy via the A14.Off street parking for cars and secure parking for bikes is available.
In contrast to the busy surroundings of a Cambridge hotel or Cambridge bed and breakfast, Over B & B offers the chance to get a taste of village life. Enjoy a meal in one of the local village pubs, or visit the parish church of St Mary’s, with its decorative stone carving dating back to the 14th century including gargoyles representing birds and beasts. There are many thatched cottages in the village and an attractive village green.
Over Gallery, which exhibits contemporary art inspired by the natural world, is also run by the B and B hosts and located at the same address. In summer experience a quintessentially English cricket game on the village green, or in freezing winter weather set out to go ice skating in the Fens. The village is just a mile away from the River Ouse - great for countryside walks, birdwatching or fishing. Much of the surrounding land is owned and managed by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds.
