Cafes and Restaurants are a short stroll from Calico, or you can walk a little further into Looe Town where you can enjoy Looe’s sandy beach, a variety of Restaurants, Cafes, Shops and local Amenities. For those who enjoy walks, the South West Coastal Path passes Calico’s front gate.

The walk from Looe to Polperro is a Coastal Walk not to be missed. Buses stop approximately 200 meters from Calico, with regular journeys to beautiful Polperro and beyond. Calico is ideally situated to explore Cornwall's many destinations, attractions and activities, these include sea fishing, golf, horse riding, beautiful beaches, magnificent gardens and National Trust properties to name a few. The Eden Project is only a forty minute drive away. Looe Tennis and Bowling Club's are a short stroll from Calico and for a small fee you are most welcome to use their facilities (rackets and balls are available at Calico).

Following a day of enjoying Cornwall’s attractions, you are welcome to relax, gaze upon the stunning sea view over Looe bay and enjoy a tray of refreshment's in Calico‘s comfortable Conservatory or outside on the patio terrace. A wide choice of breakfast options, using fresh locally sourced and seasonal produce can be enjoyed daily in the delightful Breakfast Room, or on sunny mornings a sea facing patio provides a wonderful alternative to dine. Ample free road side parking is available outside Calico.
