Elm Farm offers you bike hire, eco-camping and a cafe to enjoy, all in a rural setting close to the north coast footpath and the sandy beach of Porthtowan, famous for it's rolling breakers and relaxed surf scene.

We are situated on two cycle networks, the long distance "Cornish Way" and the network of routes called "Mineral Tramways" that follow the route of some of the Cornish mining rail network. Elm Farm is at the northern end of the coast to coast trail just 2.5 miles from Portreath.

Our bike hire is a popular activity where you can experience safe, off road cycling from coast to coast, and many other circular routes for the more experienced cyclist. You are welcome to park up for free and cycle from here on our hire bikes or bring your own. We have a range of mountain bikes for every age, and tag-alongs,trailers and baby seats for small children. We also have trailers for dogs and our tandem hire is very popular.

Before or after a hard day either cycling, walking or lazing on the beach, you are welcome to join us in our cafe for many local treats including cooked breakfast, light lunches or an afternoon cream tea. We are also licensed so our cold local beers and ciders might just be what is needed to relax at the end of your day, or to accompany one of our handmade pasties!
