Sahara, Rock, North Cornwall - is located within 5 minutes walk of Porthilly Beach and 10 minutes walk from Rock Beach and the Ferry to Padstow with the Golf course (St Enedoc) nearby. It a comfortable and welcoming self catering family home which sleeps 9 in four bedrooms and enjoys a sunny aspect with an outside table and BBQ for the summer and an open fire for the winter months. There is plenty of parking and a front garden which can be gated off and a rear patio and covered area. You can see the sea from upstairs and enjoy sailing and watersports within the village together with walks on the dunes and coastal path. We book by the week with changeover day being a Friday.
The village has various shops which include; Butcher, Baker, Fishmonger, Deli, Spar, Post Office, Hairdressers, Boutiques, Restaurants, Pubs, ironmongers, fuel station and Doctors Surgery. Clubs include the Golf Club, Sailing Club and there are Marine services for Sailing boat hire, Watersports (skiing, wake boarding, paddle-boarding, fishing, etc). For added variety one can always use the ferry across to Padstow for many more shops and eateries or just to walk on the Headland on the other side of the Estuary.
There are lovely beaches in Rock and the village enjoys typical coastal weather with the warmer estuary waters a bonus. Surfing takes place at Polzeath (4 miles) where one can hire boards or take lessons or park and use your own equipment. For those of you coming in the winter there is full central heating and you can get lovely and snug infront of the fire if you choose to. There are plenty of good walks straight from the house and by taking the ferry you can use the Camel trail from Padstow to Bodmin by foot or bicycle.
