All St. Ives' marvellous beaches are within easy walking distance. The harbour, with it's many colourful boats and constant activity, is only a few minutes away. The Lizard can be reached in about the same time and you can explore the beaches - Poldhu Cove, Kynance Cove, or Dollar(another Poldark 2015 location) and Church Coves at Gunwalloe - or the villages such as Coverack, Helford, Porthallow, or Cadgwith. A little longer in the car will get you to Port Isaac, the home of Doc Martin, or to the Eden Project. There are a number of National Trust properties and other attractions to visit - Trerice and Godolphin Houses, Glendurgan, and Tregwainton Gardens, Trelissick, and Flambards with attractions for all ages.
