The Old School House is a pretty Victorian school and school house modernised to provide comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation in this quiet heart of Cornwall. Within easy reach of the coast and moorland it is the ideal base for a relaxing break.

This converted Victorian School, built in 1838 on the edge of the unspoilt moorland village of Cardinham was the local school and school house until 1881 when the current school was opened. Since then it was a post office on the First World War, a cobblers shop and now a private residence.
Sympathetically updated by the present owners The Old School House offers a comfortable home and a quiet holiday retreat on the edge of the moorland village of Cardinham. There is off road parking for visitors and free Wifi. Guests are welcome to relax in the pretty gardens which have been created over the past twenty-seven years.
There are two rooms offering en-suite accommodation: a double and a single. The double is in the main house with a bath en-suite, TV with Freesat, and lovely views across the well maintained gardens and unspoilt countryside. The Bothy is a separate building only five yards from the house: a delightful stone and slate building offering compact single accommodation with a shower en-suite. There is no TV in this room but all guests have access to the Orangery where they may relax at the end of a busy day enjoying this peaceful location in the unspoilt heart of Cornwall
