Once upon a time around 1838 the Earl of Durham built a Georgian hunting lodge on his estate, to entertain and look after his important visitors. After being our family house for 15 years we decideded to do the same. Durham City with its outstanding cathederal, castle and river is a must see ( no longer than 12 minutes from our Hideaway.
