Portland House is conveniently situated in a quiet area close to the town centre with its wide variety of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants and just a short stroll from Derwentwater and Keswick’s highly acclaimed Theatre by the Lake, this large Victorian town house which was built in the 1880s from traditional Lakeland stone is the perfect base for exploring the Lake District National Park either by car, motorbike or on foot, taking advantage of the excellent public transport in the area. We have limited off-road parking and there is plenty of unrestricted on-road parking surrounding our property.

We have six guest bedrooms located over three floors, with one on the ground floor being suitable for guests with limited mobility.
