With space to sleep up to nine adults as well as the provision for a travel cot, you can enjoy a large family holiday or a cosy, away from it all retreat. This Grade 2 listed house is set within a conservation area and dates back in parts to the 17th century yet offers many of the modern features that you would expect for a home from home experience. The rear of the house overlooks the River South Tyne and offers panoramic views of the surrounding Cumbrian countryside.

Take advantage of the amazing dark skies and discover the stars. Telescope available for use.

Located in Alston in the North Pennines, a designated Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty and UNESCO European Geopark. Orchard House is close to the town centre and just a couple of minutes walk from several excellent pubs, as well as the fantastic South Tynedale Railway. There are many walks and cycle routes nearby suitable for all abilities as well as the highest golf course in England. If you wanted to venture further afield, the Lake District, Hadrians Wall, Carlisle and Hexham are all approximately 45 minutes drive away. Newcastle can be reached in around an hour.

Alston is perfect for a relaxing holiday but if you are feeling energetic, there is so much to do.
