Looking for a unique day in the Peak District?..... There are so many beautiful places and spectacular landscapes to discover in the Peak District. How better than sat high up in a 1929 vintage car, looking over the dry stone walls. With the roof down and the wind in your hair you can even smell the landscape - wild garlic, cut grass and lung fulls of fresh air. You will travel on many roads that you would never find, most of which are unchanged since the days when the car was new. Some are even described as "Unfit for Motor Vehicles" - but all Public Highways. This is the only vintage car in the UK to be licenced for Private Hire. A unique opportunity here in the Peak District to experience motoring from a different age. It is the ideal way to travel, at the right pace, to get the very best from our carefully designed tours or special one-off events, trips or picnics – whatever takes your fancy. We can even collect you within the Peak District.
Our guided tours include -
. Mr Darcy's Dales - a tour of the local area including Lathkil Dale, Bakewell, the Chatsworth Farm Shop and refreshments at Edensor..
· Train Track & Troglodytes - our favourite tour of the White Peak also including the pretty village of Tissington, Ilam and Hartington.
· Up Hill and Down Dale - dramatic views and picturesque villages including Litton and Eyam with refreshments at the David Mellor Visitor Centre.
· Three Counties - a visit to the huge isolated landscape that provides much of our local water supply. We pass through Wildboarclough and Derbyshire Bridge and stop for tea and homemade ice cream.
· True Grit - our longest tour taking in some of the more rugged areas of the Peak District. We climb Winnats Pass and visit Ladybower Dam and Stanage Edge with refreshments in the Vale of Edale.
