Middle Farm is situated on a sunny south-facing hillside high above Taddington Dale. The farm lies in the midst of some of the finest scenery and walking country in the Peak District. Monsal Dale is literally just around the corner and Millers Dale is only a short walk away. The newly opened cycle trails and tunnels along the former railway line are easily accessible from this base. It is an ideal central location for visiting all the major attractions in Derbyshire including Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Buxton Opera House, Bakewell, Lathkill Dale and all the numerous picturesque villages in the area.
Albertine Barn is a two storey conversion providing an elevated position with stunning views across the valley. The cottage is newly decorated and beautifully furnished, with extensive use of pine beams throughout, including exposed trusses in upstairs bedrooms. The accommodation comprise spacious lounge with picture views over across the valley, fully fitted dining kitchen with modern appliances including microwave and dishwasher, 2 double bedrooms and 2 twin bedrooms - one of which is on the ground floor. Both double bedrooms can be made into ensuite by locking doors to corridor areas. There are two bathrooms upstairs and a separate shower/toilet on ground floor level. There are garden, picnic, BBQ and courtyard areas next to the cottage.
Maigold is a superb barn conversion, fitted out to a very high standard and offering spacious accommodation. Many interesting features including exposed beams and roof trusses have been retained. It has a spacious lounge with beamed ceiling, a traditional log-burning stove, colour TV and video, large farmhouse-style dining kitchen with fully fitted units, hob, oven, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. A slate floor, pine and oak beams and recessed light fittings lend a special atmosphere to the room. There is an attractive double bedroom with exposed roof trusses and an external door to the patio area. The twin bedded room has a beamed ceiling. Outside, the sunny patio has furniture and a barbecue. Maigold Cottage is all on one level and can accommodate disabled and wheelchair access. Grab rails are fitted in bath, shower and toilet areas.
