Newton House is a quiet, comfortable, peaceful, CLEAN, NON-SMOKING environment. In recognition of its superior facilities, décor, cleanliness and high standard of guest care, the Automobile Association (AA) has awarded Newton House B&B the rating of AA 4 Stars. We serve full English breakfast and 'Continental' or fish (subject to season) alternatives, with a selection of wholesome food to choose from (as big or small as you like!) SPECIAL DIETS can be catered for, with some notice. We do not serve evening meals as there are good restaurants nearby to cater for wide tastes. We can recommend them to you, if required. We have NO BAR and no partying, so peace and quiet reigns. Guests are welcome to drink their own alcoholic drinks (in moderation), in their room or, in the garden.
The shops and town centre, beach and all amenities are nearby. It is only a short walking distance (or 4 minutes by car) to the seafront. Torbay Hospital is also within a short walking distance. Newton House avoids the noise and bustle of the shopping centre but is sufficiently close to convenient shopping, dining, drinks, entertainments, etc. We are located opposite the TORRE (Torquay) Railway Station, just one minute from our door (which puts London only about 2-and-a-half hours away). The intercity National Express Bus Station is only 7 minutes walking distance, with links to all main airports and cities. Local Stagecoach buses ("The Bay Bus") pass the door, serving town centre, seafront, Newton Abbot, Paignton, Brixham, Dartmouth, Totnes, Teignmouth, Dawlish, Exmouth, Plymouth and Exeter.
To the front of Newton House are the Garden, Terrace our large private Car Park. Parking is easy (free of charge to resident guests). The large car park can accommodate up to 15 cars (more than required). Your security is a high priority, so the car park, garden and public areas of Newton House are monitored/recorded 24 hours a day (with security lights at night) by CCTV, which is displayed inside the building. The Guest Lounge, Dining Room and front bedrooms, all overlook the Car Park and Garden, so it is a safe area. The Garden is popular with many of our guests for its array of flowers, shrubs, fruits and trees.
Wi-Fi internet is available throughout the building (FREE to resident guests).
