Having transformed the old greasy spoon canteen café in Lewes bus station in late 2012. The Hearth Pizzeria is a wood-fired cooking space where guests are fed heartily and healthily by passionate people.

Having transformed the old greasy spoon canteen café in Lewes bus station in late 2012. We built our own wood-fired oven and redecorated the interior to create a stylish contemporary “osteria”, or a hostelry with a hearth, in plain old English.

We are open Monday to Saturday, serving up traditional Neapolitan sourdough pizzas. We also host many different events, which you can find out more about on our Events & News page. Plus we also run a Home Delivery Service - Bringing The Hearth home to you.

Everything we serve is carefully sourced, created in our kitchen, and cooked in our wood-fired oven.

Downstairs we have a takeaway kiosk serving coffee, homemade cakes, and bread baked in the falling heat of the pizza oven – real stone baked “hearth bread”. We also serve Sicilian style sfincione pizza slices.
