Amber and Jasmine Cottages were at one time part of the Old Stable Block to Crickley Court, itself once a Coaching Inn called “The Crown”, and which is thought to be at least three hundred years old. The inn’s stables were for the extra horses required to help pull the coaches up Crickley Hill towards Stow on the Wold. They are very well equipped and both our cottages are graded 4 Star.
JASMINE COTTAGE, has 2 double bedrooms with a king size double bed in the main bedroom and the second bedroom can have either a double or twin beds. There is also a double bed settee in the open plan living area. The main bathroom has a bath with shower over, while the main bedroom has an en-suite shower room.
AMBER COTTAGE has a kingsize double bed in the main bedroom and the second bedroom has 2 single beds. The bathroom has a separate shower and bath.
Bedrooms in each cottage are on the ground floor and staircase to the open plan living area with great views towards Gloucester, the Severn Vale, Malvern Hills and, in the distance, the Brecon Beacon. Each cottage has a wood burning stove, as well as television, DVD and a radio/CD player. There is plenty of off road parking.
The cottages are fully equipped with washing machine/dryer; dishwasher; electric oven and hob; microwave; fridge and freezer - as well as books, games and TV with DVD for a relaxing stay! Cot, highchair and stair gates are available if required.
Each cottage has its own private garden with garden furniture and washing line and you are also welcome to wander around Crickley Court's 2 acre garden. We also have a children’s slide, climbing frame and swings as well as an outdoor swimming pool.
Bed linen, towels, liquid soaps, shampoos and electricity are included within the price.
Free Wi-Fi is available.
Being within the Cotswolds there are plenty of attractions for guests to visit, including Painswick Rococo Gardens, Sudeley Castle, Bourton on the Water, Hidcote Manor Gardens, the Slaughters villages, Cotswold Wildlife Park, Slimbridge Wildfowl Trust, Forest of Dean and many more, while the delights of Gloucester, Cheltenham, the Malverns, Tewkesbury and Cirencester are all nearby. Fishing lakes and golf courses are easily accessible.
