It makes an ideal base for a holiday or overnight stay for individuals, families, cyclists, walkers and groups. The main camping area accommodates 6 family sized (6-berth) tents, two 1 person pitches. A further 4 pitches are in our secluded bays, including 'Willow' and 'Forget-me-not' accommodating a 6-berth family tent, whilst 'Hazel' and 'Yew' bays are a bit more tucked away and fit a 4-person (4mx4m) tent.
We have 2 fire pits on our campsite so that you can enjoy a campfire at night, and we sell bags of dry firewood from our Eco-Lodge and main reception.
Yurts and tipis are available to hire from 1st April to 31st October. Camping pitches are available all year around, however in winter our solar shower block does get turned off to prevent the pipes freezing.
Campsite Facilities:
Our facilities include a solar shower block with 3 showers and a washing up area in a straw bale building. We have 2 compost toilets.
Winter camping is available over winter (November - March) but facilities only include the compost toilets and a standpipe providing drinking water. The showers and washing up area are only available from 1st April - 31st October.
Food
We have a wood fired pizza oven and a basic BBQ for campers to use on a first-come first-served basis. We sell wood to heat both. We also have the fabulous Beech Cafe on site, which is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 4pm (3pm in winter), open Bank Holidays. The cafe serves delicious vegetarian lunches, homemade ice-cream, refreshments and cakes.
