Our typical New Forest double-fronted cottage provides charming character as well as modern comforts for a very enjoyable stay. We are conveniently placed just eight minutes walk from the railway station and a ten minute stroll from the shops and eateries in the village centre.
The New Forest is a unique part of England, which has changed little over the last thousand years. It was created as a royal forest by William I in about 1079 for the royal hunt, mainly of deer. It is one of the largest remaining tracts of unenclosed pasture land, heathland and forest. Ponies, donkeys and cattle wander freely over the whole area.
We host up to 6 people with two double rooms and one twin. You can enjoy our large garden with a fish pond and dovecote, and linger over the picket fence to see the chickens who lay your breakfast eggs.
We, Adrian and Zofia, have lived in the forest for over twenty years; currently with our two gentle dogs and cat. We can recommend favourite walks, bike rides, pubs, restaurants and activities. Whatever your interests, we want you to get the most from your visit to the forest.
