Rye House is an ideal family destination whether you are looking for the karting experience of a lifetime, the thrill of laser combat or an adventure in the long lost world of the dinosaurs.

Rye House in Hoddesdon is one of the oldest and most respected karting circuits in the UK and offers the perfect introduction into the world of Motor Sport. It is where a young Lewis Hamilton honed the driving skills and techniques that would propel him to three Formula One World Championships.

Today karting is still at the heart of Rye House but there are now also lots of other exciting activities on offer for the whole family to enjoy.

Kids of all ages will enjoy the Rye-Assic Adventure Park. Kids will be able to discover the Dinodrome indoor soft play area and mini-bowling or venture outside to enjoy trampolines and the ‘Lost In Time’ Dino Maze.

On Tuesday mornings, between 10am and 11.30am, busy mums can catch up with friends over a free coffee while their children enjoy everything that Rye-Assic has to offer. Food and drink is also available from the café and hospitality suite.

Children and adults who enjoy a more pulsating experience can test their skills behind the wheel on the challenging Rye House karting circuit or try to outwit the opposing team using the best laser tag equipment in the Laser Combat arena.

Rye House’s Laser Combat adds another element of pure unadulterated fun and the ‘Zap n Ride’ special offer allows 30 mins Laser Combat as well as 30 minutes of karting from only £39.95 per child.

Once booked and signed in, it is full speed ahead and no stopping. Drivers are fully kitted out with race suits, helmets and gloves and then briefed on all aspects of safety and the race ahead. After that, it's into the kart and onto the track.

Experience summary: Adults or children can enjoy the ideal setting and outstanding karting facilities that include a Main Track or Junior Circuit with both offering the competitive edge to test your skills behind the wheel.

Availability: Recreational sessions for either 30 or 60 minutes are available throughout the day, 7 days a week, all year round and in all weather.

Requirements: To race on the Main Circuit the minimum age is 8 years and 4ft 4”height and to race on the Junior Circuit children as young as 5yrs subject to the height of 3ft 6” are catered for.
