A high spec fabulously restored 19th Century listed barn set on a farm in the delightful Kent Weald. Together with the "Cow Shed", it forms luxury accommodation for up to 12 guests; speak to us if you want 14. Green Farm Barn provides a wonderful place for family get-togethers, two or three families holidaying together or groups of friends! We have 4 Rosettes with a Gold Award from VisitEngland.
With five super-king bedrooms, all with en-suites, (all bedrooms are fab, nobody has to compromise!); there are three ground floor bedrooms, one with full wheelchair access ideal for people with disabilities. The two upstairs bedrooms have 3 x 3ft single beds with shared en-suite, however this set up can be changed to super-king plus a single in each room. There is an additional fabulous family bathroom on the ground floor too. The large vaulted open plan sitting room with log-burning stove provides an ideal space for social gatherings. There is a modern, well equipped kitchen (including a range, American fridge/freezer and two dishwashers), a dining table for 14, plus a large reception/garden room with piano and big French windows opening onto the secluded courtyard. There is a 8 person sauna and a 6 person hot-tub available to guests for a small extra charge; both of these are also used by the owners.
Green Farm set deep in the Kent Weald, is just 10 minutes from Ashford International station (with good taxi services to and from Ashford) and its high speed trains to London (St Pancras in 37 minutes) and Eurostar trains to Paris and Brussels. Just 10 minutes from both J9 and J10 of the M20. A Green Lane leads into 12,500 acres of woodland, most of it ancient, much of it within designated Local Wildlife Sites and some of it designated as SSSI. Rolling farmland spreads down to Romney Marsh and the sea. This is a wonderful area to walk, run or ride bicycles. Wildlife abounds including deer in the woods, nightingales in spring, bats and owls in the evenings.
This is a great, central base to explore this part of Kent with plenty for everyone within a short drive: Castles, Gardens, Cathedral, Market Towns, Beaches abound! Tenterden is just 10 minutes drive away and Rye is only 20; the Designer Outlet Centre in Ashford provides great shopping, The Kings head, a five minute walk, has twice won Shepherd Neame "Food Pub of the Year".
Guests have full access to Green Farm and its 50 acres of traditional meadows and ancient woodland, with a variety of our free range farm animals. We also sell our free-range chicken, duck eggs and meat.
