The Park is a perfect place for a quiet walk, a picnic or a low cost traditional family day out by the river, which is shallow enough for children to explore. Both visitors to Lancashire and local residents are welcome to visit the Park 365 days a year. Entrance is free, although a parking charge of £1.10 for 2 hours or £2.20 per day applies in the five car parks. Cuerden Valley Park is maintained and managed by an independent charity which receives no funding from Local Authorities, relying instead on the income from car parking and from the numerous events held throughout the year at the Park. In 2018 we opened a new Visitor Centre and Car Park situated at the Berkeley Drive car park.

We have a full programme of events throughout the year ranging from the Cuerden Valley Fair, Beer and Cider Festivals, Farmers Markets and various children's activities and events. Please visit our website at www.cuerdenvalleypark.org.uk for full details.
