These cottages offer everything you could possibly need for a relaxing break. Extensive gardens with a hot tub and a Finnish barbeque house provides the perfect setting to unwind. Walking/ cycling routes are plentiful, only a mile from the Tour de France route.

Each cottage is attractively furnished to a high standard, with exposed beams and stonework retaining much or the original character. These cottages are truly a home from home, designed so that your holiday is the ultimate get away from it all.

Underfloor heating in Birch, Rowan and Bramble Cottages is a real treat, as well as making the cottages delightfully cosy, its very effective at warming a bottle of red wine quickly! The Farmhouse has conventional heating with extra heat produced from log burners in the lounge and dining room areas. The bedrooms enjoy luxury feather bedding, 100% cotton bedlinen. Large white fluffy towels and toiletries from Arran Aromatics are provided in the bathrooms. The kitchens are fully equipped, but if you’d rather take a break from the cooking, there is a great selection of country pubs/ restaurants a short drive away.

You may be looking for an outdoor break, in addition to endless walking and cycle trails there are lots of activities nearby which range from Horseriding to high ropes courses. Or if a relaxing holiday is more your thing, the cottages themselves have complementary wifi, ipod docks, flat screen televisions and selections of board games and magazines. And to top off the relaxation an on site Day Spa has now been added to this revitalising retreat.

Smallshaw Spa features six luxurious different thermal experiences designed to revitalise & rejuvenate. Each delivers an enticing combination of heat, light, humidity and fragrance. We have a Rustic Sauna, a Himalayan Sauna, Massage Foot Spas, Herbal sauna, Aromatherapy Steam room and Tropical Experience Shower as well as a Rasul Mud Room. We have also now got a stunning outdoor decking area with outdoor furniture and a wood-fired hot tub.

Smallshaw’s therapists have all been trained by Temple Spa – the world-renowned skin and body care, aromatherapy and spa treatments expert. We have two exquisite single treatment rooms and one double treatment room. We offer a range of facials, massages, pedicures, manicures and reflexology.
