The hall consists of 49 ensuite bedrooms, 2 unique dining rooms which have original wood panelling, magnificent fireplaces and the ceilings are arguably the finest examples of Renaissance style friezes in the UK –befitting of a stately home.
The bar and restaurant have been newly renovated and offer a spacious and relaxing atmosphere. The lounge also offers a comfortable spot to take advantage of the complimentary wi-fi or treat yourselves to an afternoon tea. Wortley Hall is the perfect venue for a short break but also hosts weddings, conferences and events. Originally the ancestral home of the Earl of Wharncliffe it is now a company in its own right and a member of the Co-operative Union and with the Registry of Friendly Societies. Any operating surplus is spent on the maintenance and upkeep of the Hall. This is a grand venue steeped in history and its heritage and values are still strong aspects of its identity.
