Mediocrity is most certainly not on the menu or indeed any aspect of this eight bedroom country inn, which deliberately sets out to stretch the definition of “pub” to the limit.
The décor of The Packhorse may be relaxed but it is also grand, especially in the eight en suite bedrooms, where huge mirrors, indulgent king or emperor sized beds and other generous and luxurious touches such as the crisp Egyptian cotton sheets, goose down duvets, mohair bed throws and state of the art televisions, ensures that guests enjoy a peaceful night’s rest and a memorable stay. There is free WiFi throughout and complimentary Pevonia products, containing the finest natural marine and botanical ingredients.
The accommodation is AA 5 star rated and was oone of 10 pubs or “boutique boozers” highlighted by The Sunday Times in its 2014 in its Ultimate 100 British hotels feature.
