The British Wildlife Centre in the heart of the East Surrey countryside is a great day out for all ages and a real natural history experience. It is home to the finest collection of native species in the country, where you will see and learn about Britain’s own wonderful wildlife, with over forty different species from tiny harvest mice to magnificent red deer and everything in between!
Here you will have the opportunity to see up-close rarely seen species such as otters, Scottish wildcats and pine martens, as well as foxes, badgers and beautiful free-flying British owls. The Centre has the UK’s first Walk-through Red Squirrel Enclosure allowing you to walk amongst free-ranging red squirrels in their own wooded Copse. The popular Keeper Talks give you the chance to learn more about these animals and the challenges they face in the wild, while seeing them even closer while they are being fed. The Centre offers so much to see and provides excellent opportunities for wildlife photography.
The Centre is open every weekend and public holiday of the year, and daily during state school holidays (excludes 24-26 Dec). Open times: Feb - Oct: 10am to 5pm, Nov - Jan: 10am to 4pm. Last admission 1 hour before closing.
