Try your hand at rowing amidst the Victorian gardens, or pedalos offer fantastic family fun for 2 to 5 people! . Kingfishers, herons and deer are all regular visitors to the river.
All our hire boats are very stable and user friendly. Lifejackets are provided free from baby to adult sizes, so the whole family can go out on a boat, with no age limit at all.

For the more adventurous, there is a large fleet of Canadian canoes, kayaks and paddleboards for hourly, half day and full day hires.

The boating lake is only 2 ½ feet deep, so the kids can play on the boats while you enjoy a cup of tea! Pedalos, canoes and kayaks are suitable for kids to use from age 6 up, and for younger ones, the turbo paddlers are perfect – they are in a shallow, supervised area so youngsters ages 3 and up can ride on their own.

There is an on-site canoe and kayak shop, and you can book onto a canoe or kayak course too!
