Northern Ireland’s new indoor climbing centre, located just off the Boucher Road in Belfast. BoulderWorld has been designed to provide Northern Ireland with a unique climbing experience. Our climbing centre has the ability to cater for complete beginners to high-level competition climbers.
We have 3 Climbing areas
1. A main climbing arena with over 300 different climbing routes which are regularly changed
2. A separate kids area (slightly lower climbing wall which allows climbing on to the top, includes a slide and is themed like the titanic)
3. An upstairs training area (specialist training boards, pull up bars and beams, gymnastic rings and ropes)
Bouldering is climbing without ropes, above a padded landing to create a safe environment. Originally practiced as the art of preparation for rock-climbing using ropes, bouldering has developed into a popular discpline in its own right, perhaps even more so than roped-climbing itself.
It is a great way to get a good workout, keep or get into shape and have fun. Climbing is one of the natural movements of the human body and provides a full body work-out, and is much less upper arm strength orientated than people first think. Bouldering is the most accessible form of climbing as all you require is a pair of rock shoes and a chalk bag.
