If you are feeling active, you can choose to walk up to the summit and then take the train down. As well as the train enjoy the mountain exhibition, wild garden, self guided trails and hopefully - whichever way you choose to explore this mountain landscape it will reward you with its views, weather, flora and fauna. Open year round CairnGorm Mountain's winter season normally kicks off in December and goes through until April. Depending on snow conditions and weather winter activities take place daily. From first day beginner to seasoned mountain expert, everyone can enjoy the mountain environment. You don't even have to ski. Come up and watch the action or enjoy the view from just outside the Top Station, from the viewing terrace or from the comfort of the Ptarmigan Restaurant there.
