Varis is a spacious three bedroomed bungalow (sleeps 6) with free Wifi, a real fire and ample dying space. It is ideally located for a varied holiday being just 4 miles from the Skye Bridge and ready access to Plockton, Eilean Donan Castle and direct access to a network of cycling and walking trails - and drying facilities so you can be ready for the next day out!

The house has three bedrooms and two sitting rooms. There is a wood burning stove in the larger room and the TV and WiFi is in the smaller.

We have tried to ensure the kitchen has everything you need to take advantage of the great local produce.

There is a bathroom and a shower room.


Sitting above the main A87 road, Varis has lovely views across Lochalsh and Kylerhea to Skye and Glenelg and we provide a telescope in the large sitting room to help you take full advantage.

On a clear day, Auchtertyre Hill above the house commands views to the Five Sisters of Kintail, Torridon, and the Cullins.

There is direct access from the door to the network of paths in NTS's Balmacara Estate and the Auchtertyre Hill.

Varis has plenty of indoor and outdoor drying space so you can enjoy whatever the weather throws at you and be ready to venture out comfortably the next day and in fine weather, the garden is a sheltered place to relax.
