At Burnbrae, guests find peace, comfort and space. The site is surrounded by agricultural land but is no longer a working farm. My family and I live on site and enjoy helping guests make the most of their holiday.
Each cottage has a private, south facing conservatory located adjacent to the dining area of the spacious living room.
On site there is secure bike storage and washing machine and tumble drier for guests use/ There is a heated drying cupboard in each cottage. Not only are there some lovely short walks within Burnbrae but there are also walks that start directly from the site with a wide choice of walking to suite all levels, where you can take in the spectacular scenery. The local area is known for its cycling with a good network of quiet lanes around Burnbrae. In the hills there are plenty of tracks and the Glentress Forest provides extensive cycle tracks which are separate from the walking paths (mountain bikes can be hired at the main entrance to the forest). Horse riding is a very popular past time in the Scottish Borders, as is fishing and golf, with numerous courses within easy reach of Burnbrae. The Scottish Borders also has many excellent examples of culture and history and lots of beautiful gardens and historic properties to visit. For those happy to travel a little further afield, the Northumberland border is just six miles away and the Northumberland National Park is twelve miles.
