Kilda House is a large family house at the Outer Hebrides, Isle of Harris, South Harris - Leverburgh.
It is a beautiful luxurious (graded 4 star) semi detached Edwardian house, originally built by Lord Leverhulme (1925). The house boast from excellent views over sea loch Obbe, Leverburgh and the remote South Harris hills and is at a 5 min. drive from many beautiful remote beaches. You can see the ferry to the Uists coming in from the master bedroom. At the back there is a 40m. deep terrassed sloping fenced garden with a picknick table at the top for fantastic views over the Sound of Harris towards Uists.
Many beaches are close by, either the 4 Norhton beaches or the vast white sandy beach of Scarista, great for swimming, windkarting, surfing and walking. Wildlife is at your doorstep as otters live in Loch Obbe.
Pub and restaurant are just a 5 min. walk away. Excellent fishing opportunities (salmon/trout) in the sealoch in front of the house and other fishing estates on the island.
This romantic house has a lovely open plan sitting, dining room with a wood burning stove, is beautifully decorated, high standard furnishings, further a lcd tv, i-pod docking and open plan well equipped kitchen.
The 3 bedroomed house has 2 pristine bathrooms, one with a Shower, toilet, washbasin downstairs and another lovely bathroom upstairs with a Jucuzzi bath, both bathrooms are beautifully tiled with marble.
The three bedrooms have a queen-sized bed, one small bedroom with a double bed, and 3 singles or one king and a single in third bedroom, cot bed on request available. In the hall downstairs a good quality washing machine and tumble dryer.

Bart and Alicia are exceptionally warm, fun hosts who go out of their way for you – or leave you in peace to enjoy fishing, biking, seal-watching, kayaking, walking or climbing. They can advise you on the best places to go fishing, the nicest walks, family or award winning restaurants to eat out, where to source local produce such as scallops, lobster, crab.
Don't be surprised to watch a Golden eagles soaring over the house, meet an otter at Loch Obbe or Norhton's first or third beach as they live there. Seals are seen very often and with kayaks you can come very close to them.
You won't be disappointed coming for a relaxing, romantic and active holiday to the truly unspoilt Isle of Harris!
